Mini-Tummy Tuck Surgery
Do you have some sagging skin or fat on your lower stomach that is causing to lose confidence in wearing certain clothes? Even when you tried exercising your abs multiple times and it still won’t go away? A Mini-Tummy tuck surgery may be the best option for you. Some of the causes you may have can be from aging, genetics, and pregnancy.
Our Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Raj Ambay is one of the best plastic surgeons in Florida. He is able to perform his procedures with the best results. One of the more popular surgeries that he performs in a mini-tummy tuck procedure. The mini tummy tuck procedure is used to remove excessive skin and fatty tissue from the lower abdomen to tighten the muscle on the abdominal wall. This type of surgery is considered a body contouring procedure that will help you regain the confidence you deserve.
What to expect from a mini-tummy tuck surgery?
During a Mini Tummy Tuck surgery the entire goal is to tighten the core and flatten the abs. The skin will be redrapped, not removed. The surgery will take about 3-4 hours and done under anesthesia. Frequently, this surgery will be done with liposuction. The incision will be low enough so even a bikini can cover the scar. The results are immediate and will continue to prove as you heal. The entire recovery time will take about two weeks.
What are the benefits of a Mini Tummy Tuck Surgery?
- Flatter Stomach
- Tighter more defined core
- Slimmer Waistline
- Less Stretch Marks
- Regained Confidence
- Ability to wear certain outfits again
What are the risks?
It is common to experience diminished (or loss of) skin sensation in areas that have had surgery. Diminished (or complete loss of) skin sensation may not totally resolve after a mini-abdominoplasty.
Skin Contour Irregularities:
Contour and shape irregularities and depressions may occur after a mini-abdominoplasty. Visible and palpable wrinkling of skin can occur. Residual skin irregularities at the ends of the incisions or “dog ears” are always a possibility as is skin pleating when there is excessive redundant skin. This may improve with time, or it can be surgically corrected. Excessive tightening of the lower abdomen such as in a mini-abdominoplasty without addressing the upper abdominal muscles and skin may result in a puffy and fuller upper abdomen. The uneven abdomen correction may require additional surgery, or not as tight a lower abdominal repair as you, the patient, desires.
